海南省农业科学院植物保护研究所成立于1992年，曾更名海南省农业科学院农业环境与植物保护研究所（2005-2014年），后经海南省机构编制委员会办公室批准恢复为海南省农业科学院植物保护研究所，并加挂海南省农业科学院农产品质量安全与标准研究中心（2015年）,属公益二类省级专业研究机构。设有植物病害研究室、农业昆虫研究室、生物防治研究室、农产品质量安全研究室4个专业研究室。

职责是负责农作物重大病虫草鼠害发生、灾变规律及综合防治技术研究，承担农药室内生物测定、农药登记田间药效试验和农药残留检测。农产品质量安全、标准与评价技术研究，农产品、农业投入品、产地环境的检验检测与安全评价。

现有在岗人员57人，在编职工26人，其中高级职称14人（正高4人，副高10人），中级职称9人，财务人员1人，工人2人；博士学位5人，硕士学位15人，在职攻读博士2人；海南省先进工作者1人，入选“海南省515人才工程”6人（二层次1人，三层次5人），“南海名家”4人（南海名家1人，青年南海名家3人），“领军人才”7人，“拔尖人才”3人，“其他高层次人才”5人；聘用人员31人，其中高级职称1名，中级职称7名，初级职称15名，其他人员8名；在培硕士研究生5人。

现有三重四极杆液质联用仪、三重四极杆气质联用仪、超高压-三重四级杆液质联用仪、气相色谱仪、液相色谱仪、电感耦合等离子体质谱仪、电感耦合等离子体发射光谱仪、石墨炉原子吸收分光光度计、高压微波消解仪、定氮仪、原子荧光分光光度计、扫描电镜、超景深三维显微分析仪、昆虫触角电位仪及各式PCR仪、电泳仪、显微镜等仪器设备，总价值超过3000万元，能很好地满足各类科研需求与对外服务需求。科研专用实验室2500多m2，植物线虫资源保存圃约600 m2，澄迈永发基地智能大棚1100 m2，海口、澄迈、五指山、乐东等试验地100多亩。

自1992年建所以来，取得省直机关“标准化党支部示范点”、省科技活动月先进集体、海南省“巾帼文明岗”、院先进工作单位等荣誉。先后承担包括国家自然科学基金项目、国家科技支撑计划项目、973前期专项、农业科技成果转化资金项目、国家星火计划项目、国家现代农业产业技术体系建设专项、国家重点研发计划、公益性行业（农业）科研专项、海南省重大科技专项和海南省重点研发计划、省自然科学基金项目等国家和省部级科研项目和课题近200多项，承担并完成了3500多项国内外新农药室内生物测定和田间药效试验。近十多年来针对冬季北运蔬菜、热带果树和热带经济作物生产中本学科存在的关键技术问题开展了的应用基础和应用技术研究，并取得了突破性进展和阶段性成果。已经取得获奖科研成果34项，其中：海南省科技进步奖一等奖2项、二等奖4项、三等奖11项，广东省科技进步奖一等奖1项，海南省科技成果转化奖一等奖5项、二等奖2项，三等奖1项，全国农牧渔业丰收奖二等奖1项、三等奖1项，中华农业科技奖科学研究成果一等奖2项、中华农业科技奖三等奖1项，中国植物保护科技奖三等奖1项，海口市科技进步一等奖1项、二等奖1项；另有100余项通过了项目验收和技术成果鉴定。在国内外各类学术期刊上发表论文500多篇，出版著作10部。获授权发明专利3项，实用新型专利60余项，制定海南省地方标准5项。

在科技服务、成果转化、社会活动、脱贫攻坚、乡村振兴、农业绿色发展等方面取得显著成效，涌现出一批获得全国农牧渔业丰收奖农业技术推广贡献奖、全国科技助力精准扶贫先进个人、省级优秀科技副乡镇长、省级优秀科技特派员、省科技活动月先进个人、省级“向上向善海南好青年”、市县级优秀驻村第一书记、市县级优秀生态科技特派员等荣誉的科技人员，中央电视台、科学网、海南电视台、南海网、新海南、《科技日报》、《海南日报》等新闻媒体有近20次对本单位科技人员在科研创新、科技精准扶贫等的先进事迹进行了相关报道。

Brief Introduction

The Institute of Plant Protection (IPP), Hainan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (HAAS) was established in 1992 and changed its name to the Institute of Agricultural Environment and Plant Protection, HAAS (2005-2014). It was later restored as the IPP of HAAS with the approval of the Office of Hainan Institutional Establishment Committee, and attached to the Research Center for Quality Safety and Standards of Agricultural Products of Hainan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (2015), which belongs to the provincial professional research institutions in the Two Category of Public Welfare. There are four professional laboratories: Plant disease laboratory, Agricultural insect laboratory, Biological control laboratory, and Agricultural product quality and safety laboratory.

The target of institute’s responsibility is to research the occurrence of major crop diseases, pests, weeds and rodents, the law of disasters and the technology of comprehensive control, and to undertake the tasks of the indoor bioassays of pesticides, the field efficacy tests of pesticide registration and the detections of pesticide residues. It also refers to the research on the quality and safety, standards and evaluation techniques of agricultural products, inspection and safety evaluations of agricultural products, agricultural inputs, and producing area environment.

At present, there are 57 on-job staff and 26 enrolled personnel, among whom 14 staff have senior titles (4 professors and 10 associate professors), 9 staff have intermediate titles, 1 staff in finance, and 2 workers; there is 5 people with Ph.D. degree, 15 persons with master degree, and 2 staff studying for doctorates on the job; There is the 31 employed personnel, among whom there is 1 personnel with senior title, 7 personnel with intermediate title, 15 personnel with junior title and 8 other personnel; 5 graduate students. There is 1 advanced worker in Hainan Province, 6 staff selected in the "Hainan 515 Talent Project" (1 at the second level and 5 at the third level), 4 staff awarded as "Nanhai Masters" (1 Nanhai Master and 3 young Nanhai Masters), 7 staff awarded as "Leading Talents", 3 staff awarded as "Top Talents" and 5 other high-level talents.

IPP has a Triple quadrupole LC / MS instrument, Triple quadrupole GC / MS instrument, Ultra high pressure-triple quadrupole LC / MS instrument, Gas chromatography, Liquid chromatography, Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer, Inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer, Graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometer, High-pressure microwave digestion instrument, Nitrogen determination meter, Atomic fluorescence spectrophotometer, Scanning electron microscope, Super depth of field three-dimensional microscopic analyzer, Insect antennae potentiometer and all kinds of PCR instruments, Electrophoresis instruments, Microscopes, and other instruments and equipments. With a total value of more than 30 million yuan, it can well meet the needs of all kinds of scientific researches and external services. The acreage of special laboratory for scientific research is more than 2500 m², the conservation garden of plant nematodes is about 600 m², the intelligent greenhouse of Chengmai Yongfa base is 1100 m², and the experimental sites such as Haikou, Chengmai, Wuzhishan, and Ledong are more than 100 mu.

Since the establishment of IPP in 1992, it has won honors such as the "Demonstration Site of the Standardized Party Branch" of the provincial organs directly under the provincial government, the Advanced Collective of the Provincial Scientific and Technological Activities Month, the "Women's Civilization Post" of Hainan Province, and the Advanced Working Unit of the Institute. IPP has successively undertaken nearly 200 national, provincial, and ministerial-level scientific research projects and projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation Projects, the National Science and Technology Support Plan Projects, the Pre-973 projects, the Agricultural Science and Technology Achievements-transformation Fund Projects, the National Spark Plan Projects, Construction Special Projects of the National Modern Agricultural Industry Technology System, the National Key Research and Development Plan, Scientific Research Special Projects of the Public Welfare Industry (Agriculture), the Major Science and Technology Special Projects of Hainan Province and the Key Research Development Plan of Hainan Province, and the Projects of the Provincial Natural Science Foundation. In the past ten years, IPP has applied basic research and applied technical research on the key technical problems existing in the production of tropical fruit trees, and tropical cash crops and in the vegetables transported northward in winter have been carried out, and breakthroughs and phased achievements have been made. 34 scientific research achievements have been won, including 2 first prizes, 4-second prizes, 11 third prizes of Hainan Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 first prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award, 5 first prizes, 2-second prizes, 1 third prize of Hainan Provincial Science and Technology Achievements Transformation Award, 1 second prize and 1 third prize of Harvest Award in National Agricultural, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Industry, 2 first prizes for Scientific Research Achievements of China Agricultural Science and Technology Award, 1 third prize of China Agricultural Science and Technology Award, 1 third prize of China Plant Protection Science and Technology Award, 1 first prize and 1 second prize for scientific and technological progress in Haikou City. In addition, more than 100 projects have passed the project acceptance and technical achievement appraisal. IPP has published more than 500 papers in various academic journals at home and abroad, as well as 10 books. There are 3 authorized invention patents, more than 60 utility model patents, and 5 local standards in Hainan Province.
